what is it?
Hybrid Natural Clay
Designed to give you total freedom. You decide how to finish your piece based on your resources and how you want to use it.
What makes it special?
- 100% Versatile: Works perfectly as air-dry clay or as low-fire ceramic clay.
- Professional Texture: Identical feel to traditional clay — ideal for wheel throwing or hand-building.
- Limitless Finishing: Compatible with acrylic paints when air-dried, or ceramic glazes after firing.
Hybrid Natural Clay
Why choose it for your projects?
- No limits: You don't need a ceramic kiln to start creating today.
- Evolving: If you fall in love with a piece, you always have the option to fire it later to make it last forever.
- Easy to work with: Its natural fiber content makes it more resistant to cracking during the drying process.
Hybrid Natural Clay
Where to find it?
Because it's such a versatile material, you can find it in both physical stores and online platforms. Follow these guidelines to choose the right one:
- In art or ceramics stores:
Ask for "self-hardening mineral clay." The key is to ask whether it's a natural-base clay that can be fired in a ceramic kiln (up to 1000°C or higher). - Online stores:
Search for terms like "dual-hardening clay" or "natural air-dry clay."
Watch the label!
To make sure you're buying the right (Hybrid) clay, verify it meets all of these:
- Mineral Base: It should feel like real clay, not like plastic or foam.
- Kiln-Safe: The label must indicate a firing temperature range (e.g. 970°C – 1050°C), even if it also specifies it air-dries.
- Don't confuse it: Do not buy "polymer clay" (the kind fired in a kitchen oven), or any clay that explicitly says "Do not fire."
