I built the method I wish I had when I started out.

I'm an artist and founder of Serena Creando. I've been working with clay for the past 10 years.

What kind of clay do I need?

I recommend natural hybrid clay — clay that works as either air-dry or fire-able ceramics, depending on what you want.

  • Air-dry: great for practice, developing technique, and decorating your home. Not water-safe.
  • Ceramics (fired): for final pieces, work you want to sell, and anything that needs to hold water.

Same clay. Two paths. You choose.

What materials do I need?

Everything is covered in the welcome module — a detailed video walkthrough and a full materials list, ready for you the moment you join.

I already know some ceramics. Is this too basic?

Do I need a kiln?

No. You can work entirely with air-dry clay. Kiln access opens more options — but it's not a requirement.
